An all round amazing site. Clean, friendly and a fabulous location. Very dog and children friendly with picturesque forest walks. And it's open all year round.
This is a lovely site - with good clean facilities and pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable staff. It's great for children and set amongst beautiful countryside with nature reserves and interesting geological structures like pingos (deep ponds formed by ice in the last Ice Age). It has its own pingo onsite which has many fish in it. There are comfortable pods around it which can be rented. Great place any time of the year..
As this is our very first camping experience we don't have anything to compare to BUT as a benchmark it's set the bar very high. This site is set in a beautiful forest therefore it's very tranquil. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, pitches are very spacious and the facilities are very clean.
This is a great campsite right on the edge of Thetford Forrest. The pitches are a great size with plenty of room for a large tent and a car. Dogs are welcome and they have section fenced off to let them off lead and play. You have direct access to the Forrest from the back of the site with access to miles of walking trails.The toilet / shower facilities were good. Clean and warm! The only downside is they only had one block open when we visited (August) and closed it between 11-12noon for cleaning, leaving no access to a toilet or wash facilities. Not a huge deal but we got caught out one day and had to wait for it to re open before going about our day.All in all a lovely site that Id visit again!
Excellently run campsite. Toilets and showers clean and not far from all pitches. Small pond for anglers and play area and games field for the kids. Good sized pitches too, you didn't feel uncomfortably close to your neighbours. Also has the benefit of being next to the forest so walks are easy to access.
