Myself and 20 of my friends stayed in the Old Manor and stables at Clermont Hall this past weekend. We had the most incredible time in this idyllic setting and wonderful home. Olena and Michael were extremely accommodating to our groups needs. We were a bit hesitant at first due to some bad reviews but I have to say we faced no issues what so ever - the property completely exceeded our expectations and we would absolutely stay again. We cleaned up after our party and received our full deposit back very promptly. I think some of the reviews have been a bit on the harsh side - it is an old property so there is a little wear and tear but overall considering the property in quite old it is kept to a lovely standard and has plenty of character.
BEWARE!! Just returned from our worst holiday experience ever! No option to rate no stars else I would give it that. This property is now advertised as Old Manor and Stables by Olena/Benjamin Rudge on a number of websites. Wish I had seen the reviews on here earlier! The property was not at all in an inhabitable state with unclean and dirty floors, unclean fridge/freezer, uncut grass, flies, rats, snakes etc. Do not trust the photos as its nothing like advertised and lacks many basic facilities. It violates many health and safety regulations and is in poor standards throughout. The owner will lie and make up reasons to retain your deposit. See attached photos to see its present condition. Stay clear!!!
If you have not had your money back go through the small claims court. I did and eventually appointed bailiffs to visit the property and got all my money back. Owner had to pay fees as well. Disgusting, unsafe property and owner tells untruths to make herself look better. Avoid at all costs.
Please do not consider renting this house, it is truly disgusting, the kitchen should be closed down, flies were everywhere. Broken windows, bedrooms smelt of stale urine. Can't tell you how revolting this place was. 27 of us went for a family holiday, 2 had to go home early as both become unwell with chest problems as the rooms were so damp.Took us nearly 3 months to get our deposit back and that is only because we hounded her after finding out her personal phone number. Please please do not waste your money.
stay here and the owner wont respond to you in relation to getting your deposit back.Even though nothing was damaged, had not a single response since the subject was raised. the place needs bringing up to standard, dodgy pool,jacuzzi etc.. and alot of damp in the building. not worth what we paid. considering we hired all the rooms with guests! put your money elsewhere.
