Greeted by a woman who didn't know what she was doing while checking in, then taken over by a young lad, who then proceeded to give us the wrong room key and we walked into a half naked old man in his room! Not good, we then had to go back downstairs to get the correct key. TV in room didn't work, the shower pressure was appaling and we literally had to hold the shower to use it.Won't be back
This hotel has some charm, and the staff are very nice. It's old and could use a bit of refurbishing though. Noises from other guests were a bit of a problem. Also on Friday night, the cul-de-sac was full of loud teenagers; not that the hotel can do much about that. The area around the hotel is great for restaurants and pubs.
Fantastic place we came for our Xmas party. Great hosts the Owners are , good food turkey fresh and succulent. Dj was good and got everyone dancing. Lovely room called George Washington and tastefully decorated. Wonderful log fire was so nice coming in from a horrible rainy day. We will be back without a doubt!
A Charming historical Pet Friendly Hotel. The staff have treated us like friends and made our stay here a home from home.If you are looking for a hotel with easy access to London and East Anglia with old world charm and Service this is a good choice.
Really comfy bed, nice warm room and good food. Next time we are racing at Snetterton we will be booking here again as its 15 minutes away. Owners were really friendly as well. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are lovely and well decorated.
